Protecting Marriage: How to Get the Media Message Right for This Generation

Protect Marriage SpeakersNatural and biblical marriage between a man and a woman is under unprecedented attack.

“This is a time like no other in our American society,” noted Dr. Jerry A. Johnson, NRB President & CEO. “The current societal and political view of marriage drastically distorts the biblical definition that has grounded our country since its inception. It’s crucial that we understand the competing views and how to best reach this generation with God’s model for marriage.”

On Thursday, February 26, the NRB 2015 International Christian Media Convention in Nashville, TN, will feature a session titled "Protecting Marriage: How to Get the Media Message Right for This Generation."

The session will feature a panel of millennials who will share how to effectively communicate the truth of Scripture on this issue to the current generation. The panelists include Ryan T. Anderson, William E. Simon Fellow at The Heritage Foundation; Dr. Owen Strachan, President of The Council for Biblical Manhood and Womanhood; and Eric Teetsel, Executive Director of the Manhattan Declaration.

Moderating the panel will be Penny Nance, CEO & President of Concerned Women for America. A special one-day registration is available to join this event as well as others offered throughout the day.

In addition to this session on protecting marriage, the upcoming NRB Convention will include sessions on radio, international ministry/media, church media, Islam, protecting life, and free speech. There is also a Film & Entertainment Summit (Monday, February 23) and a Digital Media Summit (Wednesday, February 25).

The convention schedule, speakers list, and registration information are available at nrbconvention.org. In total, there will be more than 90 speakers at NRB15 and around 200 exhibitors participating in the Exposition (February 24-26). The convention begins Monday morning, February 23, and ends Thursday evening, February 26.
