PowerPoint Ministries Celebrates 20 Years of Broadcasting Gospel on Radio, TV

Powerpoint Ministries

This past weekend, Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, TX, celebrated 20 years of broadcasting through PowerPoint Ministries.

Two decades ago, PowerPoint Ministries started as a vision of Prestonwood Pastor Dr. Jack Graham and his wife, Deb. They believed that the power of God was evident in their growing church and that His Gospel message should be spread beyond the walls of that church to the world at large.

"It's been the heart of this church from the beginning to get the message of Christ to our community and to the world," recalled Dr. Graham, whose church is one of the nation's largest, most dynamic congregations. "We realized at the outset that one of the best ways to do this is through media."

With this vision, the Grahams put their faith into action and purchased airtime on the Trinity Broadcasting Network. PowerPoint Ministries was then officially launched in April 1994.

Since then, PowerPoint Ministries has grown to an expansive network of local, national, and international television and radio broadcasts.

"It has been such a joy to be able to take the message that we hear every week in the ministry - whether it's worship or Bible teaching or preaching - and give it to people through radio and give to people through television," expressed Dr. Graham.

Today, PowerPoint is heard daily in more than 740 cities through radio, seen in more than 92 countries, and watched by more than 5,000 unique viewers online every week. Furthermore, the ministry's online presence has increased 300% over the past five years and live streaming and video on demand continues to increase by 20% per month.

"I'm just overwhelmed, really, of what God has done," reflected Dr. Graham. "God has done a great work here and we give Him praise, we give Him glory, and we thank Him for what He has done and for what He yet will do."
