One million people are expected to gather on the National Mall on Saturday, July 16, for Together 2016, an event that aims to bring people from all backgrounds together for a unified day of worship and prayer, asking Jesus to “reset” the nation.
“Our dream is for one million people from all backgrounds to be part of this historic day, standing together for Jesus on the National Mall,” said evangelist Nick Hall, Founder of PULSE and the visionary behind Together 2016. “We’re praying for a crowd that is bigger than any of us have been a part of; we want a glimpse of heaven on earth. We believe Jesus can do unprecedented things in our time.”
Together 2016 will be free to the public and is presented in partnership with more than 250 organizations that believe in the power of standing together for Jesus. It will feature an all-star lineup of more than 40 speakers, pastors, artists, and leaders from various backgrounds, including Tony Evans, Ronnie Floyd, Mike Novak, Michael W. Smith, and Ravi Zacharias.
To date, hundreds of churches nationwide have pledged attendance.
“Together 2016 will be a day when we will lay down what divides us – politics, race, social issues, theological differences – to come together and lift up Jesus who unites us. He is the only one who can reset our nation,” said Hall.
