NRB was among the exhibitors at the 2017 Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting in Phoenix, Arizona, together with NRB member Bott Radio Network, which conducted interviews from the NRB booth.
Representing NRB at the June 12-14 event were VP of Government Relations Aaron Mercer and VP of Communications James A. Smith Sr. There to interview SBC leaders were Bott Radio Director of Operations Eben Fowler and Chairman/CEO Rich Bott.
Among those interviewed were Dr. Jason Allen, President of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary; H.B. Charles Jr., Pastor of Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida; Dr. Barry Creamer, President of Criswell College; Dr. Ronnie Floyd, Pastor of Cross Church in Arkansas; Andrew Hebert, Pastor of Paramount Baptist Church in Amarillo, Texas; Greg Laurie, Founding Pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California; Dr. James Merritt, Pastor of Cross Church in Duluth, Georgia; and Dr. Stephen Rummage, Pastor of Bell Shoals Baptist Church in Brandon, Florida.
NRB President & CEO Dr. Jerry A. Johnson was also present to represent NRB and to be interviewed by Bott Radio on the first day of the gathering.
Smith commented: “Our exhibit at the Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting is part of a broader effort to raise the profile of NRB at major evangelical gatherings. We think exhibiting at these venues will help pastors and churches see how NRB can serve them.”
In April, NRB exhibited at The Gospel Coalition National Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana, featuring a book signing with longtime NRB member Dr. Erwin Lutzer.
