As the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther’s Ninety-Five Theses approaches, NRB will be releasing and highlighting each week one of the five “solas” of the Protestant Reformation, as presented during Proclaim 17, the NRB International Christian Media Convention held earlier this year in Orlando, Florida.
This week, NRB released the session led by syndicated radio show host, popular author, and speaker Eric Metaxas, who talked about the life and work of Martin Luther, who launched the Protestant Reformation in 1517 when he nailed his Ninety-Five Theses to the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany.
In the coming weeks, NRB will release more videos – one for each of the “solas” (Latin for “alone”) that represent the five foundational principles of the Protestant Reformation.
The presenters of each “sola” are Dr. Tony Evans, Founder and President of The Urban Alternative (“Sola Gratia” – by grace alone); Dr. R.C. Sproul, Founder and Chairman of Ligonier Ministries (“Sola Scriptura” – by Scripture alone); Dr. Erwin Lutzer, Pastor Emeritus of Moody Church (“Sola Fide” – by faith alone); Mac Brunson, Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church Jacksonville (“Solus Christus” – through Christ alone); and Dr. Barry Creamer, President of Criswell College (“Soli Deo Gloria” – glory to God alone).
