The NRB International Christian Media Convention will receive Trade Show Executive’s Fastest 50 Award for being among the 50 fastest growing trade shows in the nation last year.
The Fastest 50 Award measures three criteria: net square feet of paid exhibit space, number of exhibiting companies, and number of attendees. NRB is being recognized for its percentage of attendance growth from 2014 to 2015. The 2014 Convention drew 3,771 attendees, and the 2015 Convention drew 4,259 – a 12.94% increase.
“The Fastest 50 Class of 2015 once again includes a mix of established shows and up-and-coming events in nearly every industry sector, proving that face-to-face exhibitions are important assets to the business world,” said Darlene Gudea, President of Trade Show Executive Media Group. “We are looking forward to saluting the people behind these elite events in person at the Fastest 50 Awards & Summit.”
Trade Show Executive’s upcoming summit will held in Las Vegas May 25-27, at which time the Fastest 50 Awards recognitions will be made.
Notably, the cutoff point for the final shows to make the Fastest 50 ranged from 10.5% growth to 11.9% – an increase over 2014 and a sign that more shows grew in 2015, and at a faster rate. By comparison, the metrics for the entire industry grew at 2.6% for exhibit space, 2.0% for exhibitors, and 1.3% for attendance.
“The Fastest 50 honorees covered the full range of size categories,” said Carri Jensen, TSE Manager of Directories, who compiled the Fastest 50 statistics together with Editor-at-Large Carol Andrews. “The Fastest 50 is where you will see long-established mega shows compared side-by-side with new and niche events that have captured the attention of their respective industry sectors.”
Recently, NRB concluded its 2016 Convention, Proclaim 16, in Nashville, TN. While official figures for the Convention are not yet available, preliminary figures show the attendance at more than 4,700.
