NRB Leaders, Members Train Hundreds at 6th Annual Kingdom Media Conference in India

Bill Blount speaking at the Kingdom Conference in IndiaNRB leaders and a team of media experts helped train more than 300 Christian media professionals and college students in Kolkata, India, earlier this month in several areas of media and technology.

The September 9-11 media training event was spearheaded by the Indian Christian Media Association, and drew delegates from all over the country.

NRB member organizations, including CBN, Christian Vision, Faith Comes By Hearing, the John Ankerberg Show, and MEDIAlliance International, were among the conference’s supporters. Five Q, Great Commission Media Ministries, and In Touch Ministries also participated by providing instructors for some of the sessions in TV production, social media, church & media management, and radio.

Also present were NRB Chairman of the Board Bill Blount and First Vice Chair John Carley, who spoke to those who gathered for the event to learn about the latest media tools and methods to more effectively spread the Gospel to the unreached.

“The program was filled with uplifting music, inspiring speakers, and top-level instruction,” commented Chairman Blount. “With an attendance of more than 300, the participants were enthusiastic to embrace the new technologies and digital platforms to not only reach India, but the entire world with the Gospel!”

Aside from being the second-most populous country in the world, India has the largest number of unreached groups for any one country.

Last year’s conference drew around 250 attendees. In 2012, there were around 100.
