NRB Leaders Convene to Discuss Proclaim 19 Convention

The chairs of the NRB Standing Committees and members of NRB’s Executive Committee gathered last week to continue planning for the next NRB International Christian Media Convention, Proclaim 19, which will be held March 26-29, 2019, in Anaheim, California.

At the Anaheim Convention Center, site of the 2019 Convention, NRB’s leaders met for two days to provide action-oriented input on the upcoming Convention after revisiting the successes and challenges of the last Convention, Proclaim 18 in Nashville.

“We had a great meeting with the committee leaders,” reported Troy Miller, NRB’s executive vice president & COO, “and it was great having them in one room because they found out there’s a lot of synergy between them.”

Representatives of each committee – Church Media, Digital Media, Film, Intercollegiate (iNRB), International, Radio, and Television – discussed various Convention program elements, including the networking events, schedule, speakers, and sponsors. In the following few weeks, the chairs will work with their respective committees to make specific plans and assignments for the upcoming Convention.

Like NRB Conventions in recent years, Proclaim 19 will take place during the work week, to allow for more pastors and church leaders to participate. But instead of taking place in late February/early March, Proclaim 19 will be held late March.

The 2019 Convention will also take place in the year that NRB celebrates its 75th anniversary as an association. NRB was established in 1944 in response to the removal of Evangelical Christian broadcasters from national radio networks. Since then, NRB has fought to keep the doors of electronic media open for the spread of the Gospel.

Registration for Proclaim 19 will open later in the summer. For opportunities to sponsor and/or exhibit at Proclaim 19, contact Jim Buckley at or Joe Nemchek at
