Every year, new elements, features, and ideas are introduced to the NRB International Christian Media Convention.
At this year’s Convention, Proclaim 18, each main session will start off with finalists and semifinalists of the National Bible Bee Competition (NBBC), who will be sharing excerpts of Scripture from the hundreds of verses they have memorized.
Each one of these participants has been selected from the National Bible Bee's annual competitions where they were ranked among the top in the nation. More importantly, they bring wholehearted enthusiasm to the proclamation of His Truth.
“With all the disheartening developments we’re witnessing in today’s society, it is such an encouragement to know that there is a generation of youth who are holding steadfast to God’s Word, and who are unashamed to proclaim it publicly,” said NRB president & CEO Dr. Jerry A. Johnson. “We come to the Convention to hear from the best of the best. And that certainly applies to these young people.”
Among the participants will be Hannah Leary, the winner of the inaugural National Bible Bee Game Show. She was a co-host on the second National Bible Bee Game Show last year as well as on three other National Bible Bee Competitions.
Joining her will be 11-year-old Amy Mathew, 12-year-old Samuel Moss, 10-year-old Thomas Moss, 11-year-old Seth Ross, 16-year-old Kate Russell, and 19-year-old Kerestel Leonard.
Proclaim 18 will take place February 27-March 2, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, while NRB’s award-winning Exposition – featuring around 200 exhibitors – will be open February 28-March 2. The annual Convention is the largest nationally and internationally recognized event dedicated solely to assisting those in the field of Christian communications. Speakers this year include Vice President Mike Pence; ministry leaders Rick Warren, Greg Laurie, Kay Arthur, David Jeremiah, Luis Palau, and Billy Kim; actors Jim Caviezel and Dennis Quaid, and filmmaker Alex Kendrick; radio talk show hosts Larry Elder, Eric Metaxas, and Dennis Prager; and many more.
In addition, musical artists will include MercyMe, Fernando Ortega, and Michael W. Smith. The emcees of the Convention will be twin brothers, authors, and entrepreneurs David and Jason Benham.
