Mully, a film based on the true story of a rags-to-riches entrepreneur who radically changes his value set to help Kenya's orphaned children, will be in theaters nationwide October 3-5 at 7 p.m. each night local time.
The award-winning docudrama, which was screened earlier this year at Proclaim 17 in Orlando, Florida, tells the story of Dr. Charles M. Mully, who gave up riches and power to help tens of thousands of the more than 2.6 million children living on the streets of Kenya, Africa, where he faced poverty and homelessness after being abandoned by his family at age 6.
“Mully tells an amazing story of surrender to God and incredible sacrifice on behalf of the most vulnerable members of society,” said Focus on the Family President Jim Daly, whose organization is the major promotional partner for the film.
“Dr. Charles Mully provides us with an excellent example of Christian faith in action,” he added in a press release. “This theatrical event will inspire you to consider how you and your loved ones might embrace the cause of the more than 150 million orphans worldwide.”
For a limited time, when moviegoers pre-purchase an online ticket, $15 per ticket will be donated to help orphans in Kenya and the United States through the Global Orphan Care Fund.
