MOPS International announced last month the launch of digital group offerings now available in Spanish.
According to the organization, this new effort has been a “tremendous” success in the Latin America market and the organization is excited to introduce it to the U.S. Latin market.
“We are in the process of planting a church in the community and would love to serve the Spanish community,” reported Sarah Cook from Dwell Church in Denver to MOPS. “We have invited Spanish-speaking moms to our group in the past but have not had any materials to use in Spanish until now.”
Since 1973, MOPS has been encouraging women to come together to create community, share stories, and gain personal strength as they journey through motherhood.
The mission of MOPS is to reach one million mothers, and the organization says that mission is more alive than ever.
“Women are starting MOPS groups in churches, hospitals, YMCAs, homes, coffee shops, correctional facilities and on military bases around the world, and profound things are happening,” the organization reported in a press release. “Together, we are not only inviting moms into our community, we are showing up in theirs and expanding the 40-year legacy into new markets.”
With a membership base of more than 100,000 moms in 48 countries, MOPS plans to eventually expand their offerings to include as many languages as possible.
