Mom's March for America: September 23, 2017

Mom's MarchOn September 23, mothers across the nation will be participating in the Mom’s March for America, a national gathering of mothers to shine the light on the powerful influence of mothers in our homes, communities, and nation; and to raise the bar of decency, civility, and liberty in our culture.

The march is centered in Omaha, Nebraska, and will be broadcast live. Speakers include, among others, Sarah Palin, the former governor of Alaska; Candy Carson, wife of U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Dr. Ben Carson; Missy Robertson, author and star of the Duck Dynasty reality TV series; and author, actor, and radio host Sam Sorbo, wife of Hercules actor Kevin Sorbo.

“We invite you to be a part of history as we embark on this grand adventure together, uniting our voices; encouraging and supporting each other as we raise the bar of decency and shape the future of our culture and nation,” stated the event’s organizers, the national nonprofit group HomeMakers for America, on the event website.

According to HomeMakers, the Mom’s March isn’t about politics, parties, or policies.

“It’s about mothers standing united for principles – the principles and values America was founded on; that supported mothers, respected families, and made us the freest, most prosperous nation on earth,” the group explained. “It’s about reviving the sense of community and spirit of sisterhood that once thrived among the women of America. It is about coming together to celebrate motherhood and support and encourage each other as we stand united for truth, family, faith, freedom, and the constitution which protects our divine rights as mothers. It’s about lifting a nation!”

Those joining the march in person in Omaha are encouraged to arrive a day early and enjoy the “Remember the Ladies” Convention and Banquet – a day filled with music, laughter, and inspiring speakers that will leave participants feeling energized, inspired, and infused with hope.

Aside from the march in Omaha there are also other gatherings of mothers, daughters, and families being organized in states and communities across the nation. Those public gatherings can be found here.

Those who are unable to join the march in Omaha or the other public events are encouraged to join online, on their phone, via radio, or even on their television by streaming the live broadcast. Details on how to access the broadcast will be provided closer to the event.
