Member Spotlight: Trace & Beth Embry

Trace and Beth EmbryTrace and Beth Embry are the Founders and Directors of Shepherd’s Hill Academy (SHA), a licensed Christ-centered, therapeutic wilderness-style program and accredited school for troubled teenagers, located just north of Atlanta, Georgia.

Along with being a former police officer and entrepreneur, Trace is a conference speaker, blogger, author, and youth and family development expert. He also hosts the worldwide syndicated radio program License to Parent. Offering prominent guests and first-hand experience, License to Parent is a program specifically focused on equipping parents with Biblical tools and insights for today’s culture.

The Embrys live on the campus of SHA and minister to the students daily.  Since SHA opened its doors, they have witnessed and assisted in the healing of hundreds of teens and their families. They will be married 40 years this August, and together they have three sons, two daughters, six grandchildren, and a whole front yard of teens and SHA staff.
