K-LOVE Hosts Seventh Annual Fan Awards

KLOVE Fan Award logoK-LOVE held its seventh annual fan-voted awards show at Nashville’s historic Grand Ole Opry House on Sunday, June 2, welcoming some of Christian music’s top artists onto the stage.

Christian music artists Matthew West and Mandisa hosted the awards show for the second year, capping the three-day K-LOVE Fan Awards Weekend that drew fans from all over the country May 31-June 2. The K-Love Fan Awards is the only fan-voted awards show in Christian entertainment.

The big winners Sunday night, with two awards each, were Lauren Daigle (Artist of the Year, Female Artist of the Year) and for King & Country (Group or Duo of the Year, Song of the Year).

Also recognized were Christian sports figures, books, and movies, including Unplanned, which was screened at the 2019 NRB International Christian Media Convention in March.

Nominees were determined by K-LOVE with consideration given to airplay, spins, impact, and overall performance. Winners, however, were solely determined by fan vote online.

On top of bringing in the biggest names in Christian music and entertainment, the K-LOVE Fan Awards Weekend also offered fans an opportunity to hear from top Christian thinkers and to be reminded of the different ways that God is moving behind the scenes.

On Saturday, June 1, fans were able to run/jog/walk/skip alongside some of their favorite K-LOVE Fan Award artists on a 5k fun run, raising awareness and providing help for Haiti’s orphaned and abandoned children through the Hands and Feet Project.

The K-LOVE Fan Awards mission is to “create a fan experience that celebrates and promotes artists, athletes, authors and entertainers, who, with excellence, engage and impact popular culture for Jesus Christ.”

Tickets are already on sale for the 2020 K-LOVE Fan Awards, set to return to Nashville May 22-24, 2020.
