Northwestern Media, a ministry of University of Northwestern-St. Paul, is poised to bring its Faith Radio network to Bismarck, North Dakota, after agreeing to purchase a station from the Educational Media Foundation (EMF).
The station, KLBF 89.1, is EMF’s third signal in the Bismarck area. A main studio waiver request filed with the FCC requests that KLBF become a satellite of KTIS 900 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, which is the flagship of the eight-station Faith Radio network.
“Lord willing, our hope and goal is to be on the air by late summer,” reported Dick Whitworth, General Manager of Faith Radio, in a blog post Monday. “Please pray that the paperwork moves quickly through the Federal Communications Commission and that the response from believers in Bismarck will be positive and supportive.”
Recently, Whitworth also reported on the network’s plans to add another FM signal in the Twin Cities.
“A little later this month, Lord willing, you will be able to hear Faith Radio on Faith 97.5 FM located in St. Paul,” Whitworth shared.
Faith Radio offers a blend of preaching, teaching, and compelling conversation to help connect faith to life. Its mission is to lead people to Christ and to nurture them in their spiritual growth.
