Dr. Bill Maier, a nationally syndicated radio host, a well-known clinical psychologist, and an astute cultural analyst, will join Northwestern Media’s Faith Radio Network on Monday, February 1, as the morning show host.
Maier, most recently heard on KSBJ in Houston, is the former host of Focus on the Family's Weekend Magazine. Christian radio listeners might also recognize Maier from his many years as Dr. James Dobson’s fill-in host.
Maier is known for his passion for strengthening marriages and equipping parents to navigate 21st century parenting challenges with confidence. An expert commentator on youth culture and hot-button public policy issues, he co-authored the ground-breaking book Marriage on Trial. He has also briefed state legislators, spoken at Capitol Hill press conferences, and delivered impassioned speeches on the steps of multiple state capitols.
Maier received his master's and doctoral degrees from Rosemead School of Psychology at Biola University in La Mirada, CA. As a licensed psychologist, he has served at respected institutions such as Children's Hospital Los Angeles, Camarillo State Hospital, and Long Beach Child Guidance Center.
