NRB will host its fifth annual First Amendment Lunch in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, May 3 – the National Day of Prayer.

The keynote speaker this year will be Dr. R. Albert Mohler Jr., president of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, who will highlight the importance of the First Amendment during the gathering of specially invited guests, including NRB member organization leaders and members of the NRB President’s Council. (Details about the President’s Council are available here.)

National Day of Prayer leaders Vonette Bright, Shirley Dobson, Dr. Tony Evans, Dr. Jack Graham, and Anne Graham Lotz have been featured in previous years, along with keynote speakers Dr. Charles F. Stanley, Sen. Ted Cruz, Dr. James Dobson, Dr. Robert George, and Sen. Rand Paul.

The president of the National Day of Prayer is Dr. Ronnie Floyd, senior pastor of Cross Church in Arkansas and a member of NRB. The theme for the 2018 National Day of Prayer is “Pray for America – Unity,” based upon Ephesians 4:3, which challenges believers to mobilize unified public prayer for America, “Making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”
