NRB President to Speak on Free Speech, Marriage at Values Voter Summit 2014

Values Voter SummitDr. Jerry A. Johnson, President & CEO of NRB, will lead a powerful dialogue about recent attacks to our freedoms of religion and speech during this weekend’s Values Voter Summit in Washington, DC.

“In America, free exercise of religion and freedom of speech are foundational rights, not antiquated ideals,” says Dr. Johnson. “They are essential to America’s continued prosperity. But they are under attack from forces unfriendly to freedom. Now more than ever, these are rights we must protect, preserve, and promote.”

Since 2006, the Values Voter Summit has provided a forum to help inform and mobilize citizens across America to preserve the bedrock values of traditional marriage, religious liberty, sanctity of life, and limited government that make our nation strong. Each year, it showcases prominent policymakers and leading conservative voices. The event has drawn as many as 3,000-plus attendees from around the nation and foreign countries.

This year, NRB is a co-sponsor for the summit and a sponsor of the event’s radio row. Dr. Johnson, furthermore, will moderate a breakout session, “Abridging the Freedom of Speech: How the Letter and the Spirit of the First Amendment Are Under Siege,” Saturday afternoon and join a panel on marriage in America on Friday.
