The NRB wishes to congratulate a number of its members who were recently honored by the Evangelical Press Association (EPA).
The 2014 EPA awards were presented earlier this month, honoring the best work among Christian publications during the 2013 calendar year.
Among the first place "Higher Goal" awardees were the publications of Answers in Genesis (for Cover and Two-Page Spread Design), Compassion International (for General Article: Medium), Focus on the Family (for Cartoon, Cause of the Year, and Fiction), In Touch Ministries (for Article Series, Department, and Standing Column), and World Vision (for Photo Feature).
In addition, an "Award of Excellence" was given to Focus on the Family in the General category, the General (Digital) category, and the Youth (Digital) category for their Thriving Family magazine, Thriving Family Online, and Boundless, respectively.
Other "Award of Excellence" recipients included The Christian Post in the Newspaper-Portal (Digital) category, Compassion International in the Organizational category for their magazine, and World Vision in the Organizational (Digital) category for their magazine.
After picking up their 18 EPA awards (including awards of merit and 2nd-to-5th place awards), Focus President Jim Daly said it was an honor to receive the awards.
“Our staff strives to create relevant, biblically based materials for all ages, and the EPA awards are a great recognition of how their efforts are touching lives,” he added.
NRB congratulates all of its members on their respective awards.
