Precept Ministries International announced on February 1, 2012, that Jack and Kay Arthur have officially stepped down from their roles as Co-CEOs of the ministry. Their son, David, will assume the role of CEO. He has served Precept Ministries as the Executive Vice President of Leadership Development since 2007.
The ministry’s Board of Directors and Precept COO Tom Hall have been “working deliberately” to prepare David for this moment, which is part of a five-year business plan that was set in motion in 2008. As the new CEO, David “will continue with Precept’s mission to establish people in God’s Word through Precept’s innovative and highly effective inductive Bible Study Method,” says the Precept Ministry announcement.
“I cannot say enough good things about Kay and Jack Arthur and their faithful labors for Christ these many years,” said NRB President & CEO Dr. Frank Wright. “They have built Precept Ministries on the firmest of foundations – the word of the Living God. And God has prospered His word, through Precept, in the lives of hundreds of thousands of His people. As David Arthur steps into his new role as CEO of Precept, we pray that the hand of God’s favor would be upon him. May God, through David’s leadership, dramatically extend the reach of Precept Ministries, both here and around the world!”
Previous to his work at Precept Ministries International, David Arthur served as a Pastor in both the Presbyterian Church of America and the Associated Presbyterian Church. He also served as Vice President with Generous Giving, working with both givers and pastors. David holds a Bachelor’s Degree in organizational Management from Covenant College and a Masters of Arts in Theological Studies from Reformed Theological Seminary.
