Next Thursday, January 22, thousands of marchers will rally on the National Mall and the streets around the Capitol and the Supreme Court to urge respect for human life and the end of abortion in America.
This year, the March for Life theme will be “Every Life is a Gift, ” and will particularly emphasize the value of those babies prenatally diagnosed with disabilities such as Down Syndrome and Spina Bifida, children who are aborted at alarmingly high rates (as high as 90 percent).
Dr. Jerry A. Johnson, President & CEO of NRB, will rally with other pro-life leaders at the march. “Every life is a gift, but not all can speak for themselves. Prenatal children are among the most vulnerable,” he declared. “Let’s lift our voices together on their behalf!”
On January 22, 1973, the Supreme Court issued its infamous Roe v. Wade decision that asserted a right to privacy in the Constitution that extended to abortion. Every year thereafter, masses of pro-life marchers have come to Washington to protest that ruling and to promote a culture that properly values prenatal life.
If you are in Washington next Thursday, we hope to see you! Please come say hello at NRB’s exhibit booth at the March for Life Expo. The event is free and open to the public. If you are unable to come in person, the rally will also be gathering on social media at #WhyWeMarch.
