Israel Tourism Minister Dr. Uzi Landau is urging all Christians to step forward as “watchmen” of Judeo-Christian values, which are being threatened in the Middle East by organizations including Al-Qaeda, Hezbollah, ISIS, the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, and more.
“In the few days since the NRB Convention, Christians in the Middle East are in even greater peril,” Landau shared in a letter to members of the National Religious Broadcasters.
“For that reason I urge you to read the attached excerpts from the message I delivered and share it with your audiences and constituents,” he continued, referring to remarks he made at the Celebrate Israel event that was held during the NRB15 International Christian Media Convention in Nashville, TN, last week.
In his remarks, Minister Landau said those who hate freedom of worship and Judeo-Christian values number in the hundreds of millions, and they have identified the destruction of Israel as a critical battle in their war on Christianity and civilization.
“Daily beheadings, torture, and massacres of ancient Christian communities throughout the Middle East have become routine,” he reported.
Furthermore, ISIS is determined to take this model to Europe and the U.S., the minister shared.
“The objective is to annihilate the Judeo-Christian way of life,” Dr. Landau stated.
Knowing this, the Tourism Minister said now is the time for all Christians to step forward and “join in an even stronger partnership as ‘watchmen’ of … our shared and cherished values.”
And this defense, he added, starts with a strong, safe, and enduring Israel.
“In the spirit of Ezekiel (37:1-3) you are America’s Watchman. In this respect, disseminating my message about the real dangers we face is critically important,” Minister Landau noted in his letter to NRB members. “I cannot think of anything more important than getting this information out to people of faith who are committed to preserving Christianity, our shared values, and our way of life.”
Below are Dr. Landau’s remarks from the Celebrate Israel event in full:
Christians Exit Bethlehem, Daily Slaughters on the Rise
Israel Only Remaining Safe Haven for Faithful
Some are now asking whether foreign governments, Caliphates, and terrorist organizations can expect to deter Americans from freedom to worship. Israel, the bastion of security for Christians in the Middle East, has underscored its commitment to the safety and security of Christian faithful. This despite the fact that Israel is under Islamic fundamentalist siege. Haters of freedom of worship and Judeo-Christian values number in the hundreds of millions. They have identified the destruction of Israel as a critical battle in their war on Christianity and civilization.
Israel is surrounded by 22 hostile Islamic dictatorships with land masses 640 times its size. The situation has deteriorated so that no Christian is safe in any one of these countries. Israel’s neighbor Gaza is run by a brutal terrorist organization, Hamas, and it is little more than a launching pad for international terrorist operations. Most of the ancient Christian population has been driven out of the city of Bethlehem.
Daily beheadings, torture, and massacres of ancient Christian communities throughout the Middle East have become routine. ISIS is determined to take this model to Europe and the U.S. The objective is to annihilate the Judeo-Christian way of life. In the meantime, over 100,000 terrorist rockets are stockpiled with the goal of annihilating the only remaining pillar upon which Judeo-Christian values stand in the Middle East.
Jerusalem, the eternal capital of Israel, is mentioned 883 times in the Bible. It is not even mentioned, not one time, in the Koran.
Organizations like Al-Queida, Jabahat Al-Nusra, Ansar-Beit-El_Mokdas, Abdalla Azam Brigades, Islamic Jihad, Salafists, Hezbulla, ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq & Syria), Islamic Jihad & ISIS, the Moslem Brotherhood and Hamas all exist for the explicit purpose of wiping Judeo-Christian civilization off the face of the earth.
Their activities are now plainly visible in places as close and familiar as France and England – there is an archipelago of nearly autonomous Islamist islands – some have raised controversy by referring to these areas as “no-go zones.” Some have argued that such no-go zones are currently emerging in the U.S.
Defense of Judeo-Christian values has been identified as a sacred mission since the time of the prophet Ezekiel. “I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel. Therefore when thou shalt hear the word of My mouth, warn them from Me.” It is now time for all Christians to step forward and join in an even stronger partnership as “watchmen” of our shared and cherished values. This defense starts with a strong, safe, and enduring Israel.
