Tomorrow, January 16, is the 230th anniversary of the enactment of Thomas Jefferson’s Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom, a forerunner to the U.S. Constitution’s First Amendment. To mark the day, the Family Research Council will be partnering with Vision America to host a “Free to Believe” webcast. In addition to Tony Perkins, President of Family Research Council, and Dr. Rick Scarborough, President of Vision America, featured speakers will include Dr. Ronnie Floyd, President of the Southern Baptist Convention; Mat Staver, President of Liberty Counsel; and Dr. David Curry, President of Open Doors USA. They will be highlighting challenges facing religious liberty and what churches can do about them. A number of presidential candidates will also be providing special messages for the event. More information is available from the Family Research Council.
