Next week, a House panel will conduct an oversight hearing on the FCC, specifically attending to management and spending at the agency. The House Communications and Technology Subcommittee has called on FCC Managing Director Jon Wilkins and FCC Inspector General David Hunt to testify. In advance of the hearing, Chairman Greg Walden (R-OR) stated, “Continuous oversight of federal agencies ensures that government works in the best interests of the people it serves. This hearing will help us learn more about the commission’s processes and results, which will inform our work moving forward, including on a #CommActUpdate.” More information and a livestream of this hearing next Wednesday, September 17, will be available here.
