The Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention is set to host a national conference on the issue of homosexuality and the future of marriage later this month at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN.
The October 27-29 event will feature diverse and notable speakers such as Daniel Akin, Sam Allberry, Rosaria Butterfield, J.D. Greear, Jennifer Marshall, Albert Mohler, Russell Moore, David Platt, Dennis Rainey, Christopher Yuan, and others.
According to organizers, the event will equip attendees to apply the Gospel to the issues of homosexuality and marriage with convictional kindness in their communities, their families, and their churches.
“A moral revolution surrounding sexuality and marriage is happening across America, creating new and challenging questions for Christians and churches,” noted ERLC President Russell Moore.
“Our desire, at the ERLC, is to equip faithful Christians on the importance of looking to Scripture, not the ever-changing culture, as our guide,” he added. “At the conference … we will assemble leading thinkers and pastors on these issues to help equip a new generation to stand for marriage in tough times, to prepare us to be faithful people of the Gospel – with a message of both truth and grace.”
Through the conference, speakers will seek to answer the following questions:
Registration for the conference is available online until October 15 at erlc.com/conference/registration. A complete list of speakers can also be found online.
