The Telly Awards has named Day of Discovery as a Bronze winner in the 34th Annual Telly Awards for their piece, titled “The Potter: Reflections of a Master Artisan.”
Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards honors outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online commercials, video, and films.
“The Telly Awards has a mission to honor the very best in film and video,” said Linda Day, Executive Director of the Telly Awards. “Day of Discovery’s accomplishment illustrates their creativity, skill, and dedication to their craft and serves as a testament to great film and video production.”
In “The Potter,” viewers are invited into the studio of master potter David Blakeslee, who reflects on making pottery as a metaphor for how the Master Potter forms and transforms lives.
They are reminded of God’s workmanship in molding and shaping lives for His use, and they are presented with a fresh perspective on trust and submission to the Master’s divine design and purpose for their life.
Viewers are also presented with an exciting demonstration of Blakeslee’s craft from his studio nestled along the Arkansas River in Colorado.
Presently, “The Potter” is available to be viewed online at www.dod.org. DVD copies of the story can also be ordered on the website of the Day of Discovery, which is part of the RBC Ministries family.
“The Potter” was selected from among the nearly 11,000 entries received by the Telly Awards from all 50 states and numerous countries.
