Radio Shine KGCB staff
Radio Shine KGCB-FM reaches Arizona families, from Phoenix to Flagstaff, with contemporary Christian music and dynamic Bible teaching, providing a voice that connects the community in Christ.
From a 500 square foot rented office space above a machine shop, to the current 5,000 square foot hilltop building, KGCB-FM Radio Shine has been bringing the message of Jesus Christ to the people of Northern and Central Arizona since 1994. A non-profit, listener-supported ministry, Radio Shine broadcasts from a 100,000 watt transmitter on Mingus Mountain in Cottonwood, with translators in Flagstaff and Wickenburg.
Radio Shine welcomed new Station Manager Sally Barton in February, 2011. With a professional media ministry career that began over 20 years ago, Sally has served as a nationally-syndicated Christian radio program creator, producer, host, and client spokesperson. Through the years she has forged relationships with America’s influential Christian leaders—communicating as a guest speaker a message of hope, joy and peace that can be found by trusting in our Lord. She states, “Life is a great adventure and knowing that He guides our days and satisfies our needs is a great comfort and source of strength.” As the Station Manager for Radio Shine, Sally’s vision is to strengthen relationships within the community, building a legacy of connection among those who are turning hearts to God’s Good News.
Effectively bringing awareness of local and national ministries that are having an impact in our communities through focused programming, Radio Shine operates in a Spirit of Prayer. Through the prayer ministry, the station reaches out to listeners with the assurance that the Lord walks with them through the deepest valleys. The Prayer Moment airs throughout the day, and prayers are forwarded to more than 30 prayer partners across the listening area.
Radio Shine was a finalist for GMA Small Market Station of the Year in 2007 and 2009, and for the last several years named Best of the Best Radio Station for Prescott and Prescott Valley by Market Surveys of America.
