Celebrating 27 years serving the Houston and Gulf Coast community, 89.3 KSBJ is America’s leading listener-supported, non-profit, non-commercial, contemporary Christian music radio station.  The purpose of KSBJ is “To be the voice of hope connecting people to God,” which they accomplish through Christian music, ministry minded programming, community outreach and live concerts.

According to Arbitron, KSBJ reaches more than 650,000 listeners weekly, ranking in the top 5 for Houston Major Market radio stations. Online, KSBJ's social network channels have grown to 70,000+ members collectively, and the station consistently realizes more than 150,000 weekly web visitors from more than 170 countries.  While excited to share these achievements, they are most excited about the lives impacted for Christ as thousands of people pray each week through the Volunteer Prayer Program, KSBJ Million Voices of Prayer Team and KSBJ Prayer Stations, a grassroots prayer outreach.  And, most important to celebrate are those who rededicate their lives to Christ or accept Christ as their Savior because of the impact they have felt through the ministry of KSBJ.

KSBJ listeners don’t just sing along, they live along as well, through mission outreach opportunities such as Music Rebuilds Galveston, where more than 1,000 KSBJ listeners helped Galveston Island, TX, rebuild after Hurricane Ike, and KSBJ’s Heart for Haiti campaign, which successfully raised more than $500,000 for relief efforts after the recent devastating earthquake. God also uses KSBJ Special Events to stir the hearts of thousands each year through live music experiences, including artists such as Toby Mac, Casting Crowns and Skillet.

Known as leaders in the radio industry both nationally and globally, KSBJ's management team has mentored Christian stations in London, Guatemala and Nigeria as well as in the U.S. and has held leadership positions in major industry organizations.

KSBJ has been recognized as NRB’s “2010 Station of the Year” and was recently named “2010 Best Christian Workplace” by Best Christian Workplace Institute.  As a listener supported radio station and long-standing member of the ECFA, KSBJ’s ministry is overseen by a group of volunteer men and women throughout the Greater Houston area who serve as members of their Board of Directors.  These board members represent diverse denominations, backgrounds and professions to provide oversight, direction and accountability for the ministry.
