The East Texas Community has supported their local contemporary Christian music radio station, 89.5 KVNE & 91.3 KGLY, for over 25 years. “We have amazing listeners here in East Texas, and I couldn’t think of a better place to raise a family,” said Troy Kriechbaum, station President & CEO, praising listeners’ involvement. “I am truly blessed to work with such a great team to point people to Jesus through Christian media.”
KVNE became the first Christian radio station in East Texas in October 1983 and immediately became an important part of the community, providing the presence of Christ on the airwaves. The station is staffed by 10 career Christian broadcasters who have more than 125 years of combined experience in radio. And now through the combined efforts of its staff, KVNE has become the most-listened-to radio station in any format in that market for its target audience of 25-54.
The station has made a commitment to connect their listeners to their community by offering specific ministry opportunities. To name just a few:
To thank their listeners, they hosted two free Listener Appreciation Parties at the Splash Kingdom Water Park in June. In November they will honor area pastors and their wives with a very special evening of entertainment by the award-winning group Selah.
God has truly blessed this ministry and they look forward to seeing how this local radio station will be used for His GLORY!
