AL SANDERS ESSAY SCHOLARSHIP

This essay scholarship contest, sponsored by Focus on the Family on behalf of NRB Hall of Fame inductee Al Sanders, is open to all full-time undergraduate iNRB student members (from an NRB Member School) who majors in communications, broadcasting, or journalism. Students were asked to write about issues and concerns regarding Christian broadcasting.

The scholarship offers a first place award of $2,000 and a second place award of $500. If present, the winners will be honored during the NRB 2015 International Christian Media Convention in Nashville, TN, and the first place winner receives a complimentary convention registration to attend this event. Scholarship money will be sent directly to the student's school to be applied toward education expenses.

For the 2014 competition, students were asked to exhibit forward thinking and write about a topic germane to the future of Christian media:

Look ahead. If you have children in 2025, how will THEY access and use media, and what kind of materials will content providers need to produce to engage these children with a Gospel/biblical message? (Please designate the age or ages of children that you are writing about.)

The Al Sanders Scholarship Essay deadline has passed for the 2014 International Christian Media Convention, so check back later for information on the 2015 essay scholarship.
