Radio Gospel/France For Christ
How do you connect the Gospel with a people who see little relevancy for Christ in their daily lives? That is the challenge that France For Christ is taking on with Radio Gospel. This 24/7 Internet radio station of Contemporary Christian music and personal testimonies is working to secure an FM frequency to impact Paris by September 2009.
This will require a show of substantial funds before a license can be granted. France For Christ needs to raise $250,000 (US dollars) for the securing of the frequency and for the first year's operation. To date, over half of the needed funds have been raised. The ministry is adjusting the schedule as they continue to reach for the goal.
Twenty percent of the population of France lives in Paris. France has more magnificent cathedrals and churches than almost any place in the world, and they have been empty for years. Less than 4.5% of the French people attend church regularly. How do you reach the other 95%?
France For Christ has a 3-step plan for 2009-2010. It begins with an FM station on the air in the Paris area. Step 2 utilizes the station as a catalyst for Christian concerts, festivals, and events. And step 3 is the training and development to establish house groups among the unchurched.
Prayer and financial support is urgently needed for a successful and critical step to reach France for Christ!
