The recent Olympics has focused world attention on China. Beyond the fireworks and pageantry on display lies a world power at the crossroads. The massive economic gains don't translate into a better life for the vast majority of China's 1.3 billion people. Corruption, environmental problems, growing divorce and suicide rates (40% of the world's suicides are in China) are among the issues that show the breadth and the depth of the country's problems.
Into that mix comes religious repression and the 2002 declaration that China is officially atheistic. Evangelical Christians risk persecution and imprisonment for their faith. Yet the church in China is one of the fastest growing in the world.
God is using Christian radio beamed into China as a way to proclaim truth, encourage believers, and grow spiritual leaders in the church. Trans World Radio is one of those ministries using radio to penetrate China. They have developed Radio Church Kits designed to accompany their broadcasts to teach sound biblical doctrine. Many in China are responding and giving thanks for this powerful combination of tools.
Each kit contains a short wave radio, a Mandarin study Bible, books on discipleship and spiritual growth, and a TWR broadcast schedule. The $75 for each kit includes $12.50 for the further production of these life-changing radio programs.
