Ed Cannon serves as President of Far East Broadcasting Company. Ed Cannon’s unique professional career includes leadership experience in both large ministry and corporate settings. Prior to coming to FEBC, Ed served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. During his 8-1/2 years at Moody, Ed had oversight of broadcasting, publishing, the legal department, fundraising and the operations of the Institute. Having served in executive positions in Amoco Oil and BP, Ed has focused on bringing various business disciplines to his work. Ed earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. He and his wife Mary Jean have two sons.

She assumes the role of Chairman for the Board of Trustees in May this year, the first time in the university’s 112-year history that the Chairmanship has been awarded to a woman.

She is the recipient of several broadcasting awards, including NRB’s Air Personality of the Year Award in both 2008 and 2011. Janet speaks regularly across the country on family values and biblical truths. She is the author of several books as well as a regular columnist for LIFE: Beautiful magazine. In 2005, President Bush asked her to represent the US at the United Nations for the UN Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW). Parshall and her husband, Craig, live in Virginia, and have four children and six grandchildren.
